ERNEST NUTEN COLEMAN WAS BORN ON JUNE 24, 1908. HE MARRIED BETTY
LIZA ROBERTS ON NOV.1, 1930 AT NASHVILLE, HOWARD COUNTY,
ARKANSAS. ERNEST WORKED FOR THE NASHVILLE SCHOOL SYSTEM UNTIL HE
RETIRED. HE SPENT A LARGE PART OF HIS LIFE AT MINERAL SPRINGS &
NASHVILLE, ARK. HE SPENT WORLD WAR II IN THE NAVY ABOARD THE
U.S.S.BALTIMORE HEAVY CRUISER. ERNEST PARTICIPATED IN SOME OF
THE TOUGHEST SEA BATTLES OF THE WAR IN THE PACIFIC. AFTER THE
WAR WAS OVER, HE CAME HOME TO NASHVILLE. HE WAS A VERY
KNOWLEDGEABLE CAR ENGINE MECHANIC AND HAD A SIDE LINE HOBBY OF
FIXING UP
SMALL LAWN MOWER ENGINES. HE SUPERVISED & OPERATED THE
NASHVILLE'S SCHOOL SYSTEM BUS GARAGE UNTIL HE RETIRED. HE DIED
APRIL 22, 1990 AND WAS BURIED AT NASHVILLE.
